Water Power

Thursday 24th March 2005 - Day 96

Maunday Thursday - start of the Easter break - many of us, myself included, are not back at work until Tuesday. My thanks to all of you that are working.

Today was a 'tourist' day. A visit to Finch Foundry in Sticklepath, the last water powered forge in the country - now owned by the National Trust and run as a partly-working museum. Being me, I'm much more impressed (photographically) with the waterwheels that drive the forge machinery.

P.S. Ed says hi!

What an effective image. I remember Sticklepath very well - as a small boy the queue into Okehampton started there!
