Meldon Viaduct

Saturday 12th March 2005 - Day 84

An hour out in the sun this afternoon, fortunately in a valley out of the wind, which is cold.

This viaduct is about 200 feet high, and carried the railway across the valley, until it stopped running in the early 1970's. Fortunately the viaduct wasn't demolished and now carries a cyclepath across it, part of the national network.

Today's alternates (...or red x's who knows)

Yet it looks like a warm one out there. The scenery is certainly warming.
