Light at the end of the tunnel

Friday 18th February 2005 - Day 62

In this case a 'tunnel' of trees, near the top of the road over Telegraph Hill, nr Exeter.

I felt the urge to be experimental today. I've seen examples of photos taken at slow shutter speed from moving traffic, and of using the lens zoom during the exposure itself. So I thought I would try it. I think it is actually quite effective in capturing the feeling of speed.

What else...? Hey its Fridayyyyyyyyy :))))) Everyone have a good weekend.

Does look like you've been caught in ten twisters! Glad you're driving on the right side of the road though ;)

Very cool effect, Lee... it captures the speed really well - and there is also something a little eerie about it.
I take shots while driving too. It makes things .. interesting.

Very nice effect. At first I thought it was 2 heads near each other.

Exactly how I feel some days on my way home from work. Good fun shot Lee.

That about expresses how I feel at weeks end sometimes.

Hey, please tell me you weren't driving! Nice effect and, amazingly, the composition is spot on.

I love the jagged look to this Lee... I think you're on the wrong side of the road though.. heh

lol Mark.. I take pics when I drive too.. only i have to wait until the snow is gone because it's a bit treacherous..

I thought the same thing as Ann when I first saw this...oh no, there's a car coming right at you :) Quite an interesting effect, and well named!

Excellent effect Lee, the result is amazing!

You can look at this effect in another sense as well. You know the saying there is a light on the end of a tunnel, as you said in your title. Blurry and unfocused may be the path toward that light but eventually you will reach it. Okay, I am all about philosophy today.

Love the effect,Lee! It's looks scary for me because you'd be driving on the wrong side of the road in the US...and a car is approaching! Yikes.

This a beautiful effect, I like it !
