Shedding light on the matter

Thursday 20th January 2005 - Day 33

Not your normal "painting with light" image... I wanted to try and demonstrate how my photography has been re-invigorated over the past year... instead of 'just' snaps, how I feel that I have moved on, even if only a little, with what I have learned, digitally or otherwise. It has felt like a light slowly illuminating my work as the period has gone on. Subtle maybe, but that is how I feel it has worked.

PS - slight amount of diffuse glow. Cropping.

P.S. Piggy is all back together and continuing to save. He is grateful for all the concern.

Great shot! I agree I've learned so much from everyone here!

I think when you take images you never really truly just take a picture. Often their are emotions behind them. Lets, say mabye in this image, your improvement was the motivation with which possibly pride was evoked of your progress. A very nice emotion to have and I agree, PaD is very helpful in improving skills in terms of photography and how to see things in a different way:::takes a breath::Done.

I like your story behind today's pic, doing this PAD thing certainly helps us learn and improve.

I love how PAD is making me think much more about what makes a good photo, and different methods of capturing it - you've certainly come up with the goods here!

Lee I've only been at this for 1 month and I feel like I've learned so much from people like you. Every day I drop by to take a look at your PAD and feel inspired to keep going. I love to read your notes about what you're thinking and I always take time to study your exif info.

This photo as an example...it would have never occured to me to try an exposure like this. 15 seconds ~ Wow!
