Forest Floor Still Life

Vancouver, BC

While we were down to Vancouver for the Abbotsford International Airshow this past summer, we visited
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. It was heavily overcast and dreary that day with intervals of
drizzle. Just a shot of the forest floor along a tiny stream taken from the board walk. This is a
wonderful park and if any of you find yourselves visiting Vancouver, I'd recomend checking it out.

Image was shot as a jpg, a small crop was made from along the top and right side to move the yellow
leaves into a better position, it was then tweaked in CS2 including a slight boost in saturation using
FM's Digital Velvia and finally a vignette was added. After resizing, image was sharpened and saved for web.

Overcast and damp... perfect for this type of work, and you made excellent use of it. Love the "new life" of the tiny green plants with the image of dead fallen leaves.

Lovely result....been there and , yes, it is an impressive place...was very hot at the time though, even in the shade of the woodland
