We took lots of snapshots while in Yellowstone this past October--this one is of Castle Geyser putting
on a lively a show for these folks. The eruption must have lasted an amazing 15 to 20 minutes!!

The steam and spray was backlit by the midday sun, so I exposed for the highlights then made adjustments in Camera Raw to optimize shadow detail. Color saturation was bumped up a bit to create a slightly surreal, painterly look.
