Peyto Lake

Banff National Park

Image taken from the main viewpoint at Peyto Lake.
There were two or more bus loads of tourists there at the
same time, and I had to patiently wait my turn. It was a
nice day sky stayed clear and the winds calmed in
time for me to get this shot.

Love that clear water.

I'd really love to see Peyto Lake some day. I'm curious what it would look like. I've seen pictures where the glacial flour is pronounced and some where it's not as evident. From the date on this picture, I'd guess that it tends to settle as the season progresses.

Really nice, Fred. The reflection of the mountain is turquoise even though the mountain isn't.

Certainly was worth the wait. The colors are beautiful. Makes a human seem rather insignificant on this scale. Voted.
