It was absolutely incredible to experience Alaska's beauty, it's abundant marine life and wildlife. Alaska, the land that has the biggest bears in the world, the largest salmon, the greatest gathering of bald eagles and more than half the world's humpback whale population, is perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime but unforgetable experience for us.
Denali National Park and Preserve’s dynamic glaciated landscape supports a diversity of wildlife, including grizzly bears, caribou, wolves, dall sheep, lynx and moose. Birds and wildflowers grace summer slopes. We embarked on a 12 hour wilderness and wildlife search, 92 miles of unpaved road bus ride to Kantishna, the end of the road inside Denali Park. Considering only 1 full day of wildlife searching, I am lucky to have experienced all of these beautiful creatures. It was a lot of fun...so... we just may do it again!
