Eindhoven is the only city in the Netherlands to celebrate V Day on their actual day of liberation in WWII. There is a parade through town followed by a ceremony at the Stadthuis (city hall) plaza. The anthems of Britain, the United States and France are performed along with recognition of attending WWII veterans. Various community groups, Boy Scouts, etc. take part in the parade and ceremony.
