Paducah Skies Observatory

IC 405 (also known as the Flaming Star Nebula, SH 2-229, or Caldwell 31) is an emission and reflection nebula in the constellation Auriga north of the celestial equator, surrounding the irregular, variable, bluish star AE Aurigae. It shines at magnitude +6.0. It s is located near tthe open clusters M38 and M36, and the K-class star Iota Aurigae.

Paducah Skies Observatory is a private observatory SW of Paducah, TX. It sits on 45 acres of native Texas grasslands and mesquite trees. The skies are 21.99 on the light pollution scale (almost Bortle 1).
