IC 410 LRGB with Ha from John Love

Okie-Tex Star Party 2016

This image has combined data from Robert Chozick and John Love. The LRGB data was shot by Robert Chozick at Okie-Tex Star Party in 2016 and the Ha data was shot by John Love at the same star party.

IC 410 is an emission nebula in Auriga 12,000 light-years away. The cluster NGC 1893 illuminates the nebula. The main feature of this nebula is the "Tadpoles" at the upper left. The Tadpoles are similar to the Pillars of Creation in the Eagle Nebula. They are composed of cool molecular hydrogen and dust that are being eroded by photoevaporation from the ultraviolet light of nearby hot stars.
