A mix of busy butterlies! Note the blue metaltail with a large chunk taken out of it's hind-wing; presumably pecked by a bird. Many of the butterflies turn out on closer examination to have variously sized bits missing from their wings: testiment to the process of natural selection! These are the survivors. Less fortunate individuals got eaten; but maybe there is also an element of chance involved, as with most things in life!
