There are a number of species like this that look very similar; I think (but am not 100% sure) that this is a slightly worn Bates' Swordtai (Protesilaus glaucolaus). Henry Walter Bates of course, being a Victorian English naturalist, who first went to the Amazon with Alfred Rusell Wallace (the co-discoverer of the theory of evolution via natural selection) in 1848.
