The flower festival is held every year in early February. There is a huge parade with flower floats and traditional costumes worn mainly by young people and students from local schools and universities. It is a show piece of Lanna costumes and includes both traditional and modern dress. This year the parade started in the late afternoon, so the sun was only shining on the participants at the beginning of the procession. Good for the participants but not so good for natural light photography; I only caught the front of the procession.
