Too bad, just another couple of f/stops and his face would be sharp as well. Oh well. (nudge nudge wink wink) I'm KIDDING folks! If anyone had any doubts as to your talent going beyond being one of the most prolific artisans here, you just cleared that up. The best proofs are almost always simple. Brilliant, Richard! g

I agree the choice of focus makes this image powerful and even more meaningful.
This series is a total delight, Richard!

Another fantastic capture! I have seen this master of the baton in "foot notes" and with his sneeze stopper... but this is the shot that captures him in a far more serious note. This is probably one of the strongest shots in the series for the simple reason that the photograph IS about the conductor and it tells the story through the selected DOF. Well thought through and beautifully rendered.

Very good! It's as if he is projecting his personality into the tiny point at the tip of the baton. If you said it was a picture of a magician it would fit.

Truely outstanding.

I didn't notice the DOF untill I enlarged the picture, nice twist for the conductor. Brilliant Idea. Voted.

His eyes are saying he has the power in the conducting baton, but it is not a power to abuse...EXCELLENT...Voted.
