He is a proud father and grandfather, and is living happily. He works diligently every day. He is an active member in his church and community. I strive to day be nearly as great a person as he is.

That's my dad he said he was thinking " I really hope they are not serving army fish for chow."
You must know that he was never fond of fish to fully understand it.

The black and white photos are far more expressive and I admire all of your work. Thank you! Brenda E.G

...this looks so much like my late husband who served in Vietnam and Thailand from
Dec 67 to Dec 68

I believe he is wondering these three questions: #1- HOW- How will i ever be able to clear these things i've seen and done from my mind? #2- WHEN- Whan is it going to be my turn to get hit or will i somehow get through this alive? #3- WHY- Why am I even here?

Karen, i don't imagine he could tell you what he was thinking, but I'd put my money on that flight on the freedom bird back to the world

I hope and pray this soldier was able to come home and raise a family; and perhaps, at this moment, spending his time with his grand kids.

For me, this image is a sad and powerful reminder of the Vietnam conflict.

a heartbreaking image.

Very strong photo that reflects the live of the soldier so well far away from home.

He is thinking about home , love of family, girl friend, friends, all the things that do not involve danger.
It is his time to have a little bit of peace before returning to reality.
That is the way I see this image.
Great capture. Vote

What a compelling shot. Makes you want to know who he is, where he is now and certainly what he was thinking.

Well catched, what was in his mind at that time. The pictures shows he is thinking...
Great gallerie anyway. Only known of films to me, but these pictures are more powerfull.
