Giclée Reproductions

What Is a Giclée Reproduction. Wikipedia defines it as "is a neologism coined in 1991 by printmaker Jack Duganne for fine art digital prints made on ink-jet printers. The name originally applied to fine art prints created on IRIS printers in a process invented in the late 1980s but has since come to mean any high quality ink-jet print and is often used by artist, galleries, and print shops to denote such prints. The images in the following folder are Giclée Reproductions with artistic variations in the presentation of the images. Artistic liberty is taken with the original images and the image may be modified as an oil or watercolor and then reproduced on varying types of papers. For example, oil on canvas, watercolor on artistic watercolor paper. The sizes of the image can vary. The standard is 13" x 19" although the image can be as large as 60"x23". The framing is an element of the artistic work with the artist preffering the floating frame method. The pricing is reasonable for Giclée reproduction and framing.
