Many of these images are far from great, but hey, they're Harlan's Red-tails. As with most other Red-tails, no two look alike. And knowing they all came from Alaska or adjacent Canada adds a special sense of wilderness that few other birds can match. Fortunately, much of Idaho and particularly the southwest part of the state hosts decent numbers of this subspecies during the winter months.
