Mustached Clubtail (Gomphus adelphus)

An uncommon to fairly common clubtail found mostly in the northern half of Wisconsin. Note (1) the small rounded yellow top spots on the abdomen (larger in most other clubtails); (2) large rounded club; (3) lack of yellow top spots on segments 8 to 10; and (4) segment 8 is longer than segment 9. I saw only one individual just when I was getting started in this hobby and I got only one photo. The photo is probably not 100% conclusive but features that strongly suggest Mustached over the very similar Green-faced include (1) lack of yellow spots on side of abdomen, (2) lack of yellow on sides of club, and (3) apparently complete second (rear) black thoracic side stripe. Unfortunately, one of the best features - black in the face of the Mustached - is not visible in this single photo.
