This "rocket" is actually a model of the "Main External Tank"
built by NASA engineer John W. Kiker to demonstrate
Space Shuttle and Main Tank separation. This rocket was powered
by 26 of the largest Estes rocket motors at the time.
John was also the NASA engineer that came up with the concept
of ferrying the Space Shuttle on the 747.
John's interest in model airplanes and rockets took him to NASA.
He won the Presidential Management Award from Jimmy Carter
for his 747 Shuttle carrier concept.

in life.
