My late great-uncle Robin Hughes shared your link and amazing photos with me a few years back after we were able to establish our Hughes family connection. Sadly he passed before I was able to visit with him and gather even more details of my extended Irish family. I am Lesley Harvey, daughter of Kathleen Harvey (nee Hughes), grand daughter of Fredrick Hughes who was born in Moate,Co Westmeath, the one Hughes brother that migrated to New Zealand in his early 20's and never returned to Ireland. I was only 7 years old when he passed so my recollections of his many stories are not vivid. My mother sadly passed in her 92nd year in 2016. My brother John lives in NZ but I am married and live in Canberra, Australia. My husband an I have been to Ireland twice, most recently in Jan 2020. We have one Hanrahan connection in Kilkenny, Mary who is the daughter of Anne and Peter, I am very curious as to where you fit in the puzzle, Richard and would be very grateful if you could drop me a line; when and if you ever get this message.
