Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park, Rayong

Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park is shared by two provinces (Chantaburi and Rayong) and named after mountains in each province. This is one of Thailand’s smaller parks but boasts extensive forests ranging from sea-level to around 1,000 metres high. The park houses a range of wildlife including elephants, bears, wild pigs, deer, monkeys and around 50 varieties of bird. A variety of different types of accommodation are available including bungalows and camping.
Khao Chamao-Khao Wong waterfall is a splendid affair – the waterfall has a number of tiers pushing high into the skyline and with crystal-clear water cascading into a variety of pools below. As the water is so clear many varieties of fish can be seen from the sides of the pools. In all the waterfall covers and area of around three kilometres.
