This is one of the worlds famous zoos. One of it's claim to fame is it houses two of the worlds now very rare captive Pandas. The zoo is massive and well looked after and currently (2007) undergoing a lot of expansion and improvements. It is not too far out from the city centre of Chang Mai and needs a full day to make the visit worth while.
