2750 year old Baobab and Milky Way Southern Hemisphere

Kasane, Chobe National Park, Botswana

This image was shot before midnight in Kasane, Chobe National Park, Botswana
Exposure time was 25 seconds, aperture f 4.0
The strong white dots in the upper right point toward the Southern Cross;
The really whitish looking cluster is the Andromeda Galaxy, the closest galaxy to our Milky Way. Andromeda is 2.5 million light years from Earth
Interesting fact: It takes about 70,000 years to travel 1 (one) light year !!

Yes, it looked really nice; on the trunk, lower part though, one can see bark is missing as animals scratched at it over a long time...
