The famous and now retired and preserved CC7121 at Miramas depot.

On February 21, 1954, the CC721 beat the world speed record on rail with 243km/h (151,8 mph) ! This monument of the French railroad is for the moment preserved at Miramas depot. On March 28 and 29, 1955, the same type of locomotive, this time the CC7107 pulverized this world speed record in company of the BB9004 while rolling to 331Km/h (206,8 mph) ! These two last locomotives are visible at the Railroad Museum near Mulhouse.
