Al Greenberg. I only know it was Al because I wrote it on the picture. I'm not sure when this was taken. You can see the soda girls in the back. They were a common sight when we were close to the pacified area.
Life in Vietnam in 1970 and 1971 left alot of time for reading, playing cards and talking. As an RTO I spend most of my time monitoring a radio. This was a sedintary and boring activity, at least for most of the time. Fortunately, we were constantly supplied with paperback books. I read more in Vietnam that I did prior nor since my time there. I would go through one book a day. At night during radio watch I would get under my poncho liner with the red filter over my flashlight and read away the hours.
