Port of Sale

Gippsland

The cutting of a 2.5 kilometre long Sale Canal in 1886-1888, linked the town of Sale to the Thomson River and established it as a busy port for steamers travelling the 400sq kilometres of waterways which comprise the beautiful Gippsland Lakes system.
The Port of Sale is located at the northern end of the man-made canal, which has historically provided shipping and pleasure boats with excellent access into the heart of the township.
It connects into a network of natural waterways and the Gippsland Lakes.

A very nice composition with a flattering sky overhead.
Looks to be a popular place for boaters, nice exposure
and very nice resolution.
