Cooling Towers

Steam billows from the impressively large cooling towers of Yallourn power station in the Latrobe Valley, Australia
The Yallourn Power Station can trace its history back to 1919, when it was decided that a power station would be built in Victoria's east.
The first sod was turned at the Yallourn Power Station site in 1921.
Today the station supplies approximately 22% of Victoria's electricity needs and 8% nationally.
