Entrance to Korumburra Station

The Korumburra Railway Station station has been part of the South Gippsland tourist railway since passenger operations on the line ceased beyond Cranbourne station in July 1993.
It was constructed in 1907 it is architecturally significant as a rare example of a station building in the Queen Anne style and is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.
The Railway Station Complex is historically significant, for its role as a marshalling point for goods trains that faced a steep descent in both directions and as a starting point for branch line services.

The complex comprises of a large, predominantly single storey, brick station building with an upper level residence. The red brick, Queen Anne style building features stuccoed banding,
terra cotta tiled hip and gable roof with ridge cresting, dormer windows, cantilevered platform verandah and a pedimented entrance to the lobby.
