Old Lolly Shop

Korumburra, Victoria.

According to several local people a man built this house for his wife sometime in the 1930s he copied it from an image on a Scottish postcard, she used it as a lolly shop. .
Despite the fact that it's 2 storeys apparently there are no stairs, which is kind of curious to say the least.

Nice sharp detail and excellent textures, David. Very interesting house with a peculiar roof line as well as not having stairs. Vote.

Most unusual and definitely not Australian. It could be nicely restored as a house.

Certainly not typical Australian...what a shame it's boarded up like that.

It looks well built and like it could be renovated...the roof looks in good condition. Interesting how all the other houses around it are very different looking.

Shut up shop now sadly like so many lolly shops are... v

Very interesting building according to your description, but also the choice of building materials and roofing for this style. Very nicely composed. "V"

Nice find and image David. Surely there must be a hidden stairs in there somewhere.

Needs a bit of work done on it, to make a family a nice home.
Jola Dziubinska28-Feb-2017 23:05
Very interesting. Maybe the stairs are inside?
What is the lolly shop?
