Bruno's Art & Sculpture Garden Gallery

The original unique artwork of sculptor Bruno Torfs continues to bring joy and inspiration to visitors from all over the world. Nestled amongst the luscious rainforest setting in Marysville Victoria lives a collection of unforgettable characters lovingly handcrafted by Bruno from clay fired on site in his kiln. Unfortunately in February 2009 a bushfire raged through the township decimating everything in its path without mercy and claimed the lives of friends and neighbors indiscriminately. Bruno was extremely lucky to survive, his home and art gallery was completely destroyed in the blaze. Bruno decided to stay in Marysville to rebuild his home and restore the gardens. We visited Bruno's gallery recently and captured some of his wonderful work reborn again. ....... I will be adding more to the gallery over the next few weeks. .

Out of the ashes comes something beautiful...however we will never forget that terrible February. We were in Bendigo and as you would know there were awful fires there too

That is quite the story about the destruction and rebirth of this garden. A very sad time with loss of life. I look forward to more photos.
