One of the oldest house in Evans County, this house began
as single pen log structure. The logs were joined with
dovetailed joints, rare for this area. The upper floor
is one room, a dormitory for children. The original
porch has tapered columns that attach to the hewn top plate
with a mortise and tenon joint. The house is c. 1856.
