"Were" is the operative word. Only a couple of the vehicles had signs
when I took the pictures. Many were freshly painted, and several had
obviously been towed back into position recently (fresh ruts in the grass),
so maybe the people in charge hadn't gotten around to re-installing the
signs yet.

what are the vehicles? there were signs in front of each one.
