The quintessential flapper, Clara Bow, is captured at the height of her charm in the definitive Jazz Age romantic comedy: It. Inspired by a story by Elinor Glyn, who uses the simple pronoun to encapsulate the spirit of the sexually-liberated youth of Prohibition-era America, a saucy lingerie salesgirl sets her sights on the handsome owner of the department store in which she works. Leading him on a romantic chase from the Hotel Ritz to the whirling attractions of Coney Island, Betty Lou (Bow) decides to crash a high-society yacht party in a last-ditch effort to get her man.

At age 90, Budd Schulberg is an American icon. He won an Oscar for his script to On The Waterfront, and is currently collaborating with Spike Lee on a film about boxer Joe Lewis. His novels include “What Makes Sammy Run?” and “The Harder They Fall.” The son of Hollywood executive B.P. Schulberg, Budd grew up amongst such stars as Clara Bow, Marlene Dietrich, and Elizabeth Taylor.

George Cork Maul is an East End composer, pianist, and performance art specialist. His works have been performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Ireland.

A. Gabriel Kastelle holds a B.Mus. in violin performance from Temple University. He has performed on both violin and viola as a member of chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras.

Michael Edelson’s photographs are in numerous museum collections, magazines and books. He is Emeritus Professor of Art and Film Studies at SUNY Stony Brook.
