Antarctica: 25 million years ole, no time zone, sections claimed by 15 different countries, the coldest place on earth with 90% of it ice and a view of space clearer than anywhere else. Werner Herzog with only his cameraman journeys to Antarctica to document the inner landscape of its geography and the men and woman who live there. Human and Mother Nature, amid surreal landscapes above and below the ice, are both dreamlike and haunting. Herzog's humor and intelligence aids us in understanding those who would explore nature's wonderous mysteries at the end of the world.
