A really tenacious blizzard with strong winds visited Lawton, Oklahoma on the morning of Christmas Eve 2009. It started with high winds Wednesday night and the next morning, the winds brought the blizzard, which continued on and on until late afternoon. It seemed like it would never end.
So Christmas morning, we woke up to piles of snow outside our main door, and a mess of snow outside the garage door. No way for us to drive out, if we wanted to. Anyway, later a guy came and plowed away the snow. We have a good home-owners association. I took photos of all this.
We can see the Wichita Mountains from our large kitchen window, and this morning I could see snow on the mountain peaks; a rare sight. Be sure to see how pretty that looks. I have enhanced the pictures so things sort of stand out.
