These endless stairs have fond memories for me. Several years ago, Karen and I vacationed at Starved Rock Park. I made her descend these stairs, hike up a small mountainous hill, where legend says some young Indian lover flung herself over the edge. And after a spectacular view, we had to reclimb hundreds of stairs back to our cabin.
