A monster owl with ridiculous pink eyelids. This owl feeds on a wide range of mammal prey -particularly large bush rats & Hedgehogs!

This image was taken with a 500mm lens + stacked 1.4x & 2x teleconverters locked down firmly on a robust tripod. The camera Exif data is incapable of registering the stacked converters and though the aperture is registered as f8 the camera's meter reading is accurate.
