This is a less sociable auk than the other species. Breeding pairs favour caves, rock piles & deep fissures often on the edge of Guillemot colonies where the single egg is hidden away from the prying eyes of gulls & other predators.
Razorbills are less pelagic than the other auks often fishing in coastal waters & even estuaries.
