The Atlantic Puffin is a charismatic & highly photogenic wee seabird which breeds colonially on offshore islands. The single youngster is reared in a burrow & on fledging leaves under the cover of darkness. Young Puffins follow their parents out into the open ocean where they spend the winter.
A readily accessible colony is on the Isle of May in the outer Firth of Forth just off the Fife coast where most of my images were taken.
