This bird has a broader white band to the tail with greater foot projection (nearly reaching the tail tip) & a different wing proportion to the following image which is definitely a Common Black-Hawk. The image was taken near the top of the Arima Valley over rain forest. It is possible that it might be a Great Black-Hawk (which is very rare on Trinidad) but the apparent differences may be due to angle of view, age, etc.
