This is a stunning wee Grebe in summer plumage. It is a rare breeding bird in Scotland but away from the nest it can be quite confiding, especially on lochs frequented by Fly-fishermen. I simply sat on a stone at the edge of its loch & it came up to check me out; it's a pity the sun didn't check me out!!!
