A boat Safari is one of the best ways to check out the birds & wildlife of Tortuguero. Our party contained (apart from myself) general tourists with no birding interest. Despite this we managed to see some 'special' birds including Crested Owl, Black-collared Hawk, Green and Rufous Kingfisher (sadly no image)& King Vulture -images in the CR non-passerine bird gallery.
