Red-eyed Dove (Streptopelia semitorquata)

Senegambia Hotel, Kololi

A large rather dark Streptopelia dove which is very common in Western Gambia. It's song, once recognised can be heard everywhere (it actually sounds like it's saying: " I am the Red-eyed Dove, I am the Red-eyed Dove").
