African Buffalo

A totemic symbol of the African plains, Buffalo are impressive & formidable beasts. Unlike most antelope Buffalo cannot cover large distances & seldom wander far from a water source.
African Buffalo have a well-deserved reputation for ferocity but are reasonably approachable when in large herds. Single bulls can however be very bad-tempered & unpredictable & so are best given a wide berth!
