Ashland

Right Time - Wrong Direction. In the late afternoon each day one can witness Amtrak's Auto Train parading through the center of Ashland, VA. Yesterday was no exception with Engineer Ryan Riddell bringing the longest passenger train in the world across England Street and past the 1923 RF&P passenger station at 4:40 PM. However there was one difference - this was the northbound, not the southbound Auto Train. Due to striking a vehicle in Georgia the day before, the train's schedule had experienced a severe setback resulting in a late afternoon rather than an early morning passage of Train No. 52.
