Built in 1956, 3600 West Broad Street was built to serve as the corporate headquarters of the Seaboard Air Line Railroad. It later served as headquarters for the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad following the 1967 merger of the ACL and SAL. For a number of years it was the largest office building in Richmond.
