It's a dreary April 5, 2003 and we're looking east along the former Virginian Railway mainline in Oakvale, WV. The old Virginian searchlight signals were still going strong and wouldn't be replaced until 2009. The eastbound signal is displaying an approach indication, it's normal aspect with the next signal being PD Junction. Visible in the distance is the west end of the trestle over WV 112. The N&W mainline is down the hill to the right on the valley floor.
