In late 1947 the N&W began construction of this five story building in Bluefield. In March 1949 it opened as the Pocahontas Division Headquarters. The fourth and fifth floors were occupied by the Pocahontas Land Corporation, a subsidiary of the N&W. Today the building continues to serve as the Pocahontas Division Headquarters under Norfolk Southern. It was built on the site of the original Bluefield Inn.
