The Bangkok trip was lazier than the Cambodian one. On the first day we thought we'd visit some of the temples and the grand palace along the Choap Raya river. We started with late in the morning by visiting Wat Arun, the temple of dawn. We were too tired to wake up early in the morning and failed to witness the rise of dawn over this temple. Wat Arun took quite some time and after a lunch at pizza hut we headed back to visit Wat Pho the temple of the reclining buddha. By the time we were finished it was past 3:30 pm which we soon find out was the time when all the temples and the grand palace close to the public! I missed out visiting the emerald buddha because of this ignorance. To pass out time we visited the flower market which gave us a feel of the real Bangkok and the people living there .. its basically a street where all sorts of flowers are sold in bulk. We did sample some excellent Thai cuisine, some of the sweetest pineapples and oranges and a late night foot massage to rub down all the tiredness from our overworked leg muscles.
